➡️ Stop 1: Meet Your Guide & Begin the Camel Ride
Arrive at the desert camp in late afternoon. Meet your guide, then set off on a camel-back ride across shifting dunes toward your campsite.
➡️ Stop 2: Camp Setup & Couscous Dinner
Help set up tents and learn wood-fire cooking as you prepare a hearty traditional couscous (If you want, of course!). Then, gather around the fire to share your meal with local hosts.
➡️ Stop 3: Campfire Stories Under the Stars
Relax by the flames. Listen to folk tales, sip sweet mint tea, and breathe in the absolute stillness of the desert night under a 5-billion star sky.
➡️ Stop 4: Sunrise Coffee & Fresh Bread
The next morning, you will wake up to the smell of coffee and a freshly baked bread will be waiting for you to start your breakfast.

After meeting at a secure desert outpost near Douz, you’ll embark on a gentle camel ride at sunset, setting the mood for an authentic Berber camp experience. Participate in setting up your tent, cooking traditional couscous over an open flame, and sharing stories with locals. The night unfolds under an unrivaled canopy of stars, punctuated by mint tea and quiet reflection. At dawn, awaken to fresh coffee and bread, then explore the dunes before returning.

4 nights in the desert - ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!
We were lucky enough to be able to spend 4 nights in the desert at Dunes Insolites which was totally our highlight of our Tunisia trip! The guys at Dunes Insolites are simply awesome and they have organized everything so beautifully. The camp itself is stunning! The food is great. Totally clean showers and toilets. Beautiful and authentic decorated sleeping tents. You really feel like living the life of a nomad - just a very luxurious form of it. And still, the guys at the camp bring you very close to the authentic nomad desert culture. It was really an immersive experience!
Our highlight: The overnight stay deep in the desert with uncle Mouldi - he really is THE BEST - such a legend. He knows the desert by heart, he is amazing with the Arabian camels and he cooked us the most delicious food in the middle of the desert, only with the things that he brought with him from the camp. We had so much fun all together. I will never forget that day. Thanks for everything!

Magical! healing ⭐️
My kids still recall this experience as "the best night of their lives".
The kindness of people was just memorable, nature was magical.
We have enjoyed this experience but also a full tour in the south, I was impressed by the beauty of my own country, this tour reminded me why I loved this country.
The organization was professional, perfect service, perfect timing, clean and agreeable, the beauty of simple things, but still, everything we needed was available.
It's a healing type of experience. I strongly recommend it.
