Day 1
We begin our journey in Algiers, the white capital by the sea. After settling in, we explore the UNESCO-listed Casbah, wandering through its labyrinth of stairways and stories—Ottoman palaces, hidden mosques, and crafts still practiced today.
We then ascend to the majestic Notre-Dame d’Afrique, offering panoramic views over Algiers and the Mediterranean. In the afternoon, we descend into the colonial heart of the city for a stroll through its boulevards.

Day 2
We head west along the coast to Tipaza, a stunning Roman site perched by the sea. Explore its amphitheaters, forums, and mosaics—all bathed in Mediterranean light.
Next, we visit the Royal Mausoleum of Mauretania, believed to house Cleopatra Selene, daughter of Cleopatra and Mark Antony.
Back in Algiers, we enjoy a peaceful stroll through the Jardin d’Essai du Hamma, one of Africa’s most renowned botanical gardens, and end the day at the Martyrs’ Memorial, honoring Algeria’s modern history.

Day 3
We travel east into the green mountains of Kabylie. In the Djurdjura Mountains, we stretch our legs with a short hike before visiting the village of Beni Yenni, renowned for its Amazigh identity and silversmithing.
After a homemade lunch, we explore a local olive oil mill to learn about ancestral agricultural techniques. We end the day at a family-run guesthouse, sharing a traditional Kabyle dinner and evening by the fire.

Day 4
We depart early for Djemila, one of the most beautiful and best-preserved Roman cities in North Africa. Nestled in rolling green hills, its theater, basilicas, and mosaics offer a moving glimpse into the ancient world.
After lunch, we continue east toward Timgad, where we check into a hotel near the ruins.

At sunrise, we explore Timgad, known as the “Pompeii of Africa,” walking its Roman grid of streets, arches, and thermal baths.
We then travel to the Mausoleum of Imedghassen, a pre-Roman Numidian royal tomb.
The day ends at the breathtaking Balconies of Ghoufi, where abandoned troglodyte homes overlook a lush canyon oasis; a natural amphitheater of silence and time.

Day 6
We drive to Constantine, the “city of bridges,” dramatically perched over gorges.
We explore the Palace of the Bey, a jewel of Ottoman architecture, and cross the Sidi M’Cid and Mellah Slimane Bridges, suspended above the deep Rhumel Gorge.
After visiting the Monument to the Dead, we relax at our hotel and enjoy Constantine’s culinary delights.
